about

This song is about falling short of expectations of who you should be or somebody else might expect you to be but in the end accepting yourself for who you are and making your own life instead of letting perceptions of what your life should be dictate the direction your life takes. Basically every Disney story ever.

lyrics

LYRICS
I had pixie dust but now I'm peter pan, a boy afraid to be a man. Because you can't grow up in Neverland without having hooks for hands.

I fell from the tree and I bruised my ego, I learned from my knees that it hurts when we grow.

You try to fill your fathers shoes, but your double knot it still comes loose. I'm a bad apple with sour fruit, a cider that's one hundred proof.

I spit out my seeds and said I make my own life, I learned from my teeth that it hurts to be wise (I need a shooting star).
