The Park 03:06
Let's walk up the block and pray that your back door is still unlocked. Let's take a couple of your Daddy's beers and lets get out of here. It was the hot sweat and the cold nights. Dripping down your neck, me holding you tight and us waiting for lightning to strike. Let's skip every class like two pebbles determined to make a splash. (she said) just steal a couple of your sister's cigs and let's get out of here It was the hot sweat and the cold nights. Dripping down your neck, me holding you tight and us waiting for lightning to strike. Will you meet me at the park tonight? It was the hot sweat and the cold nights. Dripping down your neck, me holding you tight and us waiting for lightning to strike.

Better Days 03:00
I've been tight rope walking over shark tanks, sleeping on Piranhas food plates. I've been slithering with some shady snakes. Oh, I've seen better days. I've been acting careless and now my hands shake. I have piled clutter in my brain. Now all I want is a clean slate. Oh, I've seen better days and they all say the sun will come out tomorrow. Bet your bottom dollar that tomorrow. I'm cloudy eyed and there's no more money to borrow. I've been living sideways, I can't shoot straight. Building up to Friday with a few drinks. I've been numbing the pain until my head aches. Oh, I've seen better days. I've been pushing it off, it can't wait. I keep changing the time and the date. I know I'll have to meet it face to face but please not today. and they all say the sun will come out tomorrow. Bet your bottom dollar that tomorrow. I'm cloudy eyed and there's no more money to borrow. I've been trying harder I can't wait until we're back in Autumn and things change. Although I'm doubtful it's safe to say that I'll see better days.

Massive like black holes you're caught in the choke hold of traffic when you want to go. Feeling so stagnant your shoes are wet cement and it's just a matter of time you know. D-I-S-A-P-P-O-I-N-T-E-D that's all that I ever seem to be. We set expectations but our own impatience stares at the second hands waving. Divine intervention is just an invention we've made so that we can stay blame free. D-I-S-A-P-P-O-I-N-T-E-D that's all that I ever seem to be. Everybody is doing something with somebody. Everybody is somewhere doing something with somebody while I'm stuck in some self loathing spelling bee.

Small Doses 02:17
When the laughter stops and the spotlight is off. I hear pens drop in the place of applause. I'm good for a while, yeah you'll crack a smile. But when your face grows as long as the Nile you'll be baking a cake with a file. Cause I'm good in small doses. As the drug drips and the clock ticks I'll turn from radiant to repulsive. I'm good in small doses. Every cold cut coquette in a thinly sliced dress reels me in like a net as I gasp on the deck. I take a mint for my breath, take a drink for the stress. But no tarp could cover this wreck. I'm great for an hour at best. Cause I'm good in small doses. As the drug drips and the clock ticks I'll turn from radiant to repulsive. I'm good in small doses.

Wait 03:27
She can't sleep without the lights on. She's been burning all of her bulbs. Awake, afraid, and alone. She can't sleep without the lights on. Two cups and a string, how far can they reach? I don't want a screen I want the real thing. thing.I dream your back is against mine but I wake up only to find that I'm alone so I close my eyes and dream your back is against mine. Two cups and a string, how far can they reach? I don't want a screen I want the real thing. And now you're running to your gate with mascara down your face saying "will you wait?"
