I've been down here for twenty four years it's looking like I'm facing twenty five to life. Just dreams and no career behind the bar the only stardom I'll see is at night.
There's a demon in my ear whispering the end is near and I can't quite steer through the tears just down a couple beers and make my fear like a deer in the headlights watching as they veer.

Nobody lives forever we're all just floating feathers in a whirlwind waiting for the end.

He was high for twenty four years I got the call that he was gone and I couldn't sleep at night because my dreams and their veneer was stripped away when I'd awake in sweat fear and fright.
and the devil with his shovel kept on digging up new tunnels on the road to recovery and left bloody feet to stumble. He hit a fever pitch put the barrel in his lips squeezed his grip and blew the world a kiss.
