I recorded this on February 1st 2014 at the amazing house venue The Cook and Maid in Coal Center, Pennsylvania right before a show. It was recorded on a 4-track tape recorder with Mr. Derek Bendel behind the boards and Mr. Sam Myers clapping as I played my song.

LYRICS
I gave up I gave in to the cogs on the clock left to toil and spin every day
and the crack of the whip was a trick meant to sound like the bell of freedom as it rang.

now I am in too deep to walk away still or storm I'll ride the waves I
want to go back to the bay but I know that I wont.

I've got a new set of wheels, but I stay parked on the couch and let the thoughts just drive me insane. It's The Ties That Bind that The Boss uses to constrict so that I can't unwind.

I watch the ants leave their mounds to their magnifying glass that leaves them so burnt out. I've got no voice, got no tongue so I pour some salt but I know that I am just a slug.
